Description

Aligned with the Chesapeake Bay Watershed Agreement, Indicators provide information needed to communicate progress towards outcomes and support adaptive management. Indicators are hosted on ChesapeakeProgress, a website that provides oversight and accountability toward the outcomes of the Watershed Agreement.

Analysis & Methods Document

Each Indicator update must include an Analysis and Methods document that explains how the data are collected, analyzed, interpreted and communicated to ensure transparency and consistency. The Outcome Representative and subject-matter experts complete the document during an Indicator’s first iteration—addressing analytical methods, trends and data quality—and update it with each new data release.

Data File

The data file and supporting Analysis and Methods document serve as a repository of essential metadata information for specific Indicator data, aligning with the Chesapeake Bay Program's Metadata Specification document. It includes required fields and definitions that comply with data standards for CBP products.
