Purpose

The Chesapeake Executive Council will hold its annual meeting at Union Station in Washington, D.C. on Thursday, November 20. Members of the Executive Council represent the various partners of the Chesapeake Bay Program and establish the policy direction for the restoration and protection of the Bay and its watershed. At this year’s meeting, the Executive Council will set the partnership’s plans for 2009 and beyond, as well as review actions taken during the past year. The meeting will be held in Union Station’s Columbus Club. There will be presentations on 2008 restoration efforts, the Chesapeake TMDL and biofuels from 12:30 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. The Executive Council will hold a news conference at 2:00 p.m. All attendees are encouraged to use public transportation (metro or train) or carpool to Union Station.
