Sarah Brzezinski
Sarah, an Environmental Protection Specialist with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, works for the Chesapeake Bay Program as the Strategic Review System Coordinator. Her work guiding Goal Implementation Teams through the partnership’s structured adaptive management process promotes transparency and supports progress toward the Chesapeake Bay Watershed Agreement.
Throughout her educational and professional career, Sarah has pursued her passions for science communication, public engagement, and Chesapeake Bay restoration and management. She received her bachelor’s degree in environmental science and biology from Dickinson College and holds a master’s degree in management with a specialization in public relations. She also completed internships and fellowships with the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, San Diego Zoo’s Institute for Conservation Research, Chesapeake Conservancy, and the Chesapeake Research Consortium, where she staffed the Chesapeake Bay Program’s Fostering Chesapeake Stewardship Goal Implementation Team. Most recently, Sarah spent nine years serving as the Outreach Coordinator at the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science’s Chesapeake Biological Laboratory.
