Please note: The June Forestry Workgroup meeting has been rescheduled to an in-person meeting on Wednesday, June 11, hosted by the Adams County Conservation District in Gettysburg, PA!
We’re still finalizing the details for the day, but we anticipate meeting from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m., followed by lunch and a field tour. For those who cannot attend in person, we're also working to provide a virtual option for the 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. portion of the meeting.

Chesapeake Bay Program Webinar: Addressing Urban Tree Supply Challenges in the Chesapeake Bay Watershed
With urban tree planting initiatives expanding nationwide, there is increasing pressure on the supply of trees. Those seeking to purchase trees often find their options more limited than expected in terms of quantity, quality, size range and diversity. To address these challenges, the Chesapeake Bay Trust and the USDA Forest Service collaborated with a team of researchers to facilitate discussions with growers, designers, urban foresters, and technical experts across the Chesapeake Bay watershed. In this webinar, we will present highlights from this effort, including significant research findings and case studies from successful initiatives in both the public and private sectors.

Forestry/Land Use Workgroup and Healthy Watersheds GIT Joint Meeting - December 2024
This is a joint meeting with the Healthy Watersheds Goal Team, the Forestry Workgroup, and the Land Use Workgroup.
Please note, this meeting will take the place of the regularly scheduled bi-monthly Healthy Watersheds Goal Team meeting and monthly Forestry Workgroup meeting for December, 2024.
This meeting will take place in a hybrid format with a virtual and in-person option.

Chesapeake Riparian Forest Buffer Networking Summit
The Chesapeake Riparian Forest Buffer Networking Summit will facilitate conservations between entities working in and across the Bay watershed jurisdictions. This Summit will replace the June Forestry Workgroup meeting.
